Nic Bertrand raced at the picturesque village of Saighton in Cheshire for the Cycling Development North West road race league. The cat3/4 race was 7 laps of the mostly flat 6.91 miles circuit (as most of Cheshire's lanes). The aim of the 1st race was to see where things were with regards to fitness. It is pleasing to say fitness is there - no problem getting around including having some digs at the front and getting in a couple of somewhat short lived breaks - sadly missing the successful breakaway. Nic finished in a good postion within the galloping bunch at the 17th place overall.

Next Sunday, John Dodgin and Nic Bertrand will be racing at CDNW Cockermouth, a course that should be more suited to the two Biketreks riders.
