Many thanks to the Salt Ayre Cycling Association, helpers and commissaires for organising a good 2 days of racing over the week-end. 4 stages in 2 days including a hilly time trial prologue, a road race on the Augton circuit, a criterium at Salt Ayre finally another 70 miles road race on the Ulverston circuit. The 2 days saw some tough racing with James Gullen (Team Wallis) winning the overall general classification over Craig Battersby (Bglobal - same time) and Jack Pullar (Vanilla Bikes - 4s adrift).

The Biketreks Racing Team had two riders in the race, Kieren Banlin and Nic Bertrand. Kieren raced consistently being "in the points" on two of the stages (Aughton and Ulverston) finishing 22nd overall. Nic found it significant tougher, not finishing the last stage thereby unfortunately continuing a streak of bad races. All good experience for both riders who are already looking forward to next year's Morecambe 2-day.
