Riding through winter can switch from being either the best or worst
time of year for me. You can’t beat the crisp clear days churning
along with a group of riders clocking up base miles but then I can’t
think of anything worse than loosing all sensation in your fingers,
having to change down gear with your elbows as a howling winter gale
tries to blow you off the icey roads.

Which brings me swiftly to the subject of my first ever blog for
Biketreks Racing Team. In a few days time five of us are jetting off
to the sunny (and hopefully) warm climate of Southern Spain. Either
tying up the loose ends of our base miles or continuing to increase
the intensity of our sprint and power efforts, everyone is setting off
with their own goals in mind.

I can’t wait to escape the cold U.K. weather for a week of amazing
training courtesy of www.cyclingholidayspain.co.uk/

Bring on a successful 2012
