Sandy Lockett
Came to road racing by a typically bizare route. Starting off on one
wheel he became interested in circus skills so came into possession of
a Mountain Unicycle (they exist). Then progressing to two wheels he
bought a Mountain bike from none other than Biketreks in 2007.
Hungering speed he moved into Road Cycling. After floundering around
in 2010 then competing seriously for a season in 2011 he secured a 6th
place in the CDNW Capernwray 3/4 and raced aggressively if not
fruitfully for the rest of the season.Likes: Sleeping.Dislikes: Winter. Dirty chains. Cold hands. In fact just being cold. Especially on a ride.Contact: @sandylockett
Connor Furness
Connor has only started riding a road bike since January 2011, initially starting off competitively in club TTs. He impressed on the Levens course open TT, with a 21.47mins (Excellent for a first try and as Youth A!). Connor can also climb having finished 1st and 2nd on two different hill climbs.
Callum Young
Callum first started cycling competitively in 2010 doing the 6mile TTs at Salt Ayre. In the winter of 2010/11 he focused his training on the TTs and was feeling good for the season. He went along to training sessions with the Salt Ayre Cog Set in the hope of getting into races. Callum is a strong rider with a good kick / sprint and attacking style. We are looking forward to seeing him grow and develop as a bike racer.
Likes: eating, sleeping, Emilia Fahlin and Mark Cavendish.
Dislikes: not having food on a ride, oxygen debt.

John Dodgin
John joins Biketreks Racing Team for his second year following a relatively successful debut last season having progressed from 4th Cat through to 2nd Cat and taking some wins on the road as well as in Hill Climb competitions. With a string of high results throughout the season John finished as 3rd & 4th Cat CDNW Road Race League Champion 2011. Challenges for this year include the step up to racing at 2nd Cat level as well as supporting the large cohort of talented young riders who are joining the Biketreks Racing Team.

Gary "Gaz" Spencely
Unless you know Gaz you may well think just another cyclist but his actual first sport was rugby something which he was rather good at playing professional & representing his country. Gary is a very experienced crit and TT specialist who will look forward to sharing his knowledge and hard riding with the team.
Likes: riding hard, attacking,
Dislike: anything vaguely related to technology that is not a bike or used on a bike
Chris Anderson
Chris has been racing for longer than he can remember (25yrs) and enjoys all aspects of racing, Time Trials, Road Races and Crits. Previously a 1st cat rider but currently holds a 2nd cat license after spending the last few years concentrating on Time Trials and gaining PB's of 20.15 for 10 miles and 53.13 for 25 miles. Chris is looking forward to working with/for the Biketreks Racing Team in Road Races and improving his time trialling further.

Nic Bertrand
Nic is a fairly latecomer to the sport and now in 2012 is only his second season of racing a road bike and second year managing the team. 2011 has been exciting and rewarding and great experience. With a younger and strengthened squad for 2012 he is very keen to see how the vision of a development squad flourish this year and in future years with the continued support of some fantastic sponsors.
He is dedicated to race on the road and cyclocross as well as running the team for the next few years. On a Saturday morning you'll probably see him officiate as a Go-Ride Coach at The Salt Ayre Cog Set.
